Afternoon Blahs~

Do you get them? Meredith and I have them today, that's for sure.

It's 3 and we are in the afternoon slump here. I've been working in her room and honestly haven't made much headway.

I got busy putting her bows up and good grief, how many bows can a girl have...is there such a thing as too many?

Our bow days might be ending in the near future since most bow makers are wanting $14-$16 for a set of bows, it's getting a bit steep for me. I don't know, maybe I'm just grumpy today and should keep my mouth shut about it.

Oh well, we are going to look at Nemo in the viewfinder~

Nice & Cool Again!

Whew, it was just a burnt wire so the ac was fixed on Saturday and it only took them about 5 minutes to do it!

We stayed home on Saturday and Josh had band sectional practice on Saturday night.

Yesterday we went to lunch ran some errands and went to Target (Meredith's favorite store). I looked at the Cabbage Patch Dolls, I wonder if I should go ahead and get one for Meredith? I remember how popular they were when I was little and will be curious to see if they are that popular again.

Target also has a new exlusive little line of Build a Bears, they were cute too.

Meredith really only plays with a types of toys, her puzzles, books, colors, markers and her baby doll. I think I could bring home a toy store and she'd still only play with those things.

We have open house at the High School tonight and Mother's Day Out too...LOL...two opposite ends of the spectrum~

Meredith starts back to Mother's Day Out tomorrow, she's so excited and I'm excited for her. This will be her first year to go and be well!

Hot, Hot and More Hot!

Good Grief! All of a sudden our air conditioner stopped cooling last night! Not good, not good, not good! I get soooooo grumpy when I'm too hot. Thank goodness it's not been as hot as normal here in North Texas or we would have been at a hotel last night.

I sure won't be drinking any coffee this morning...LOL!

Meredith is doing a puzzle and I can hear here asking her Daddy, do you know where this piece goes, do you know, do you know. Poor guy, he's been up about 2 minutes and she's already talking non stop to him...hehe...welcome to my world. She won't stop talking until she drops over asleep tonight,

Wheeeeee! It's Friday!

Josh has survived his first week of high school!

He's exhausted and we are all soooo glad it's Friday cuz' everyone here is dragging their butts! I made extra strong coffee this morning to get myself going.

I went to the preview band concert last night...wooohooo! It's the first time in a long time that I haven't had to visit a public potty just because there's one to visit ;)

The band sounded great, I'm so impressed that they've learned all this music in such a short amount of time.

Ok, time to drag myself to the coffee pot for another cuppa!

Does Morning Come Fast or What?

Seems by the time I had time to go to sleep it's time to get up!

I didn't used to need a clock to wake me up but since I'm getting up at 5am everyday, I need one. Maybe when I get caught up on my rest,
I won't need one again.

Meredith is getting up early these days...6am...it's killing me...
LOL...why, oh why can't she just sleep in for a little longer.

Her first words this morning were, Mommmy...can I have your coffee? No, it's mommy's...I know, but can I have it...No, it's mommy's and you don't drink coffee...I know, but I can drink coffee...no, you can't...you're not old enough yet...but Mooooommmmmmyyyyyy
~Ppppplllllleeeeeaaaaassssseeeeee
Nooooooooooooo and so our day has begun...LOL!

First Day of High School Report:

Josh had a great day! He's got some friends in all of his classes so that makes things a little better than not knowing anyone.

He doesn't have homework but says that I do...more paperwork to fill out.

We had pizza for dinner tonight and are going to hang out now.

Who Says Things Slow Down When School Starts Back Up?

I'm really beginning to wonder about that statement but then most people don't have a freshman in high school and a 3 year old...and if they do, I promise like myself they don't have much sanity...LOL!

I was on a serious boycott for at least a year about keeping a calendar. I don't know why, guess it doesn't matter why since it's over and I'm again living by the calendar. Maybe it was because Meredith was sick all the time and I was in some sort of denial about all the doctors appointments. I used to have to ask Marc about that stuff because he always had it in his pda.

Anyway...nothing like getting of track is there~

I've got a serious migraine today so Marc took the kids to pick up one of those plastic organizer things at Office Max since they are on sale and then to Target to get T-Bone Steaks to cook for dinner...he's such a sweetheart...certainly my knight!

Hugs!

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!

It's Sunday night and Meredith is in bed asleep and Josh is in bed reading the last of "A Seperate Peace", his summer reading book.

There's a new band schedule starting tomorrow morning:

7:30am-12noon is marching rehearsel outside and
6:00pm-8:30pm is marching/music rehearsal outside, it's staff development week so they switched practice from the afternoons to the evenings.

I'm off to hunt for some chocolate, my husband has let my stash run out.

3. Do you believe that you 'fit' the profile of your astrological star sign? Yep

4. Will blogging survive 2005 or is it a fad? For me, it will survive...I like having a place to journal without writing.

5. Do you Ebay? If so, what and how often? Is it a full-time job, part-time hobby, or just to clear the junk from your house? Yay...my question made it! I do ebay, I sell my daughter's outgrown clothing. You can see my auctions here!

6. True or False: When I vote, I am all for one party. False

It's Saturday!

Wow, I feel like I blinked my eyes and the week is gone!

We've had a cool front here in North Texas and it's sooooo nice to have a little break from the heat. We've been lucky this summer because it's not been near as hot as normal. Yesterday the high was 89 and last year it was 109, so a huge, huge difference.

Meredith is still doing so well, she's just an amazing little girl and we are so blessed to have her! I can't tell you how many times we just all laugh at something she says or does these days. I think her "true" personality is starting to come out more and more now that she's well.

It's tax free weekend here in Texas so we did a bit of shopping yesterday, ate lunch at the mall, Meredith rode the train...just had a nice afternoon. I don't think I'll be going back to the mall today because it'll be crazy, busy.

A new Red Robin restaurant opened just down the street from us so we might have dinner there tonight, I'm kinda tired of cooking right now.

I've given up and just this morning made a pot of coffee and am drinking a cup of it. Iced Tea just wasn't doing the trick for this old gal'...I really need my caffiene ;)

Ebay is doing well, I've go soooooo much more to list...I'm hoping to take tons and tons of pics today!

Hugs to Everyone!

Tired Today!

Whew...I'm a tired pup today!

Meredith can't have carbonated beverages since her surgery so I thought I'd try to get off my Dt. Dr. Pepper in the mornings but oy~I'm not sure it's gonna work. I've never been a coffee drinker and at my age, I don't think I'm going to start loving it anytime soon. Without my morning coke, my get up and gone has got up left...LOL!

Josh said his Underarmour worked out great today, whew that stuff isn't cheap either.

They marched outside this morning from 7:30 and got to go in at 11 instead of 12 because they worked so hard...yay for them because it's hot as heck here and I mean hot, hot, hot!

The have freshman orientation tomorrow morning, I still can't figure out why I had to pay $10 for him to go to it...must be something I don't understand.

Meredith is still doing totally fab since her surgery. She's happy, sleeping well, her moods have settled out a lot too.

I'm still adjusting to her eating habits which have changed drastically. She barely eats at all now compared to before surgery but that's ok...the amounts are much more in line with her age since she's not having to self medicate with food anymore.

If you pass through this way...would ya leave me a comment or a tag...it gets lonely sometimes!

Thanks to my buds Paula, Kristen and Nikki, they are always checking on me...Love Ya Gals!

Angie's Insanity
My Sanity-Do you have it?
Really, I'm looking for it...if you find it, hang on to it for me ;)

Wife to my Very Best Friend & Mom to a **Teenage** son and a 4 year old Daughter.

11 years between the...ahem...darling...children...they both think they are only children.

Strong willed, independent, each one is **ALWAYS RIGHT** so the other is **ALWAYS WRONG** and so on...no wonder I'm looking for my mind half the time!
